Right click properties Under"Target"at the end of what is already typed there,add "—W—L"name of repository' ` (Note-there is a space between the—W and what's already typed into the target) • To drag and drop text into metadata fields <<lF Hold down control key and make a box around desired text Still holding down control key,drag and drop text into desired metadata field • To put today's date in a metadata field for"date" , Hit the spacebar • To create a new toolbar , Click on small arrow on the right side of toolbar.Click"Add/remove buttons"-"Customize" On the screen that opens up,go to the"Toolbar"tab,click button for"New"and type in desired name for toolbar • To add buttons to the new toolbar Click on the small arrow on the right side of the new toolbar.Click"Add/remove buttons"-"Customize" On the screen that opens up,go into the"Commands"tab and drag and drop the desired buttons into the toolbar • To find text in a document Hit Control+f while the document is open • To combine two documents Simply drag and drop them • To save a column profile Configure the column profile accordingly and then right click,click"Load/Save Columns"then click on "Save"and type in a name for column profile • To load a saved column profile Right click,go to"Load/Save Columns"and then select the desired column profile • To save a search Open the advanced search;configure what criteria you'd like to be involved in the search.Then click the "Save"button at the upper left corner of the advanced search bar • To load a saved search Open the advanced search,click on the"load"button at the top of the advanced search bar • To add a customized button such as a Microsoft Word Click on the small arrow at the end of the toolbar "Add/remove buttons"-"Customize" Under the toolbar tab,click on"Custom" Then click on"Add" On the screen that opens up,under"Name"field,type in the name of the button • To fill in the Command field Select the browse button and find where Microsoft Word(or other program)is saved in the computer Under Icon field,select the"browse"button and find where Microsoft Word(or other program)is saved in the computer again.You should then be given a choice of different images associated with Microsoft Word.Pick out which one you'd like. Click"Okay" • To add the button to the toolbar Go to the Commands tab Under"Categories"select"Custom" You should be able to see the Icon for your new button.From this screen simply drag and drop the button to the toolbar • To copy a selection from an image Use the pointer to select a region of the image.Click and drag to draw a box around the area you wish to copy. Copy the selection.You can do this by selecting Copy from the File menu,by right-clicking and choosing Copy,or by pressing CTRL-C. rTo paste Open the application in which you wish to paste the selection.Note that the selection cannot be pasted anywhere within Laserfiche as an image,although text can be pasted into other Laserfiche text files.
